The problem with the two metal detecting forums I tried, irate and detector prospector are they are annoying to navigate, maybe I'm just spoiled from spending years on the shroomery boards where the admin has constantly been improving the forum since like 1999 when it started, everything just seems easier to use there

I'd argue no, a metal detector usually can differentiate ferous from nonferrous metals, while a pinpointer usually can't, also a metal detector usually needs to sweep over a target while a pinpointer dosnt need to sweep

I dont reccomend any of the cheap pi pointers, ive used the nokta pointer which was a bit more than $100 and I liked it and the mi4 which was $200 and also liked it, these prices are in canadian dollars

I use the legend, I'm sure the equinox is a little bit better, but I'm not afraid I'm missing anything, the legend is a not more advanced then the xterra pro, you can customise it more
