Do you still rate the Manticore at #4?

Hey everyone, I've been getting into metal detecting recently, and I'm particularly interested in finding gold. I've heard mixed things about whether metal detectors can actually detect gold. Can anyone clarify if it's possible, and if so, what kind of metal detectors work best for gold detection? Thanks in advance for your advice!

Hello. I'm new to the game, and I'm looking for my first metal detector. As you can see in the heading, I have looked mostly at these, as they are more or less in the same price range, at least here in my home country! What I have learned that is important is target id and depth. Most of all, I want a detector that is good at separating metals from each other with a clear signal. I think it's a bit overwhelming to read and watch videos, as I feel a detector can get "bad" reviews in one place and good in another. In other words, I'm very unsure. Hope someone can give me some sensible answers. I can mention that initially I am mostly looking for silver/gold but also artifacts such as swords/bronze from the Viking Age. I will search variedly, on land, forest, grass and beaches. Thanks.
