In the forest we use a Tractor Supply shovel that is designed to cut roots and is low cost. My favorite beach scoop is from KellyCo. CHOW!

You have to figure out what works for you on the beaches you hunt. Some adjustments do not work on every beach and there will be some that you just can't figure out why they work! CHOW!

It all depends on the depth you want to dive to metal detect. If 10 feet or less, I'd grab a Legend. We are in the water all the time with our legend and never flooded. The Nox 600 and on up, Only some are waterproof and I have noticed all Nox listed above will leak at some time. I also love my Nox in dry sand only. Even in dry sand my legend will have me dig less and find more.. CHOW!
