Yes I'm in the Uk too.. We do have a local detecting club but they meet on a Tuesday and I can't make it that day as I go to choir rehearsal. But if I get the detector my husband could go to the club :) Thank you. I think he wants to be like in the detectorists and go off on his own, or with me, rather than with a group, but it sounds as though he needs to start with a group.

Hi all. Im 49 from Cwmbran South Wales. My husband and I are total beginners. We don't have a metal detector at present but are both really interested in it. It's on my to do list for the new year if I can get a detecor sorted for my hubby for Christmas :)
