Hey Merrill ,What would be the reason why my simplex + VID numbers start jumping all over the place ( crazy like flipping out ) when on turn the detector and it doesn't stop. Is my detector broken?

Thanks for the advice. I will try to keep the battery fully charged.
I do believe it is because I was near power lines and a transformer.
